21–26 August 2016 – no casualties
I was away last week at the NAOC 2016 in Washington, DC. There don’t seem to have been any casualties while I was away. The Indigo Bunting (from July 5th!) is still in place, but I decided to call it today (8/26). Some skeleton and feather remains, but the beetles have long-since abandoned that carcass and nothing else is interested in it.
Here are the totals I’ve logged for Mar.–Jul. 2016:
I’m ready for the new ones (sadly) and hopeful that numbers on treated windows of the west alcoves will be way down:
11–13 August 2016 – no casualties
9–10 August 2016 – no casualties
8 August 2016 – no casualties
29 July–7 August 2016 – no casualties.
Indigo Bunting skeleton still in the same spot off to the side of the northern entrance.
28 July 2016 – baby Mourning Dove
Thanks to Corey Riding and Chrissy Barton who kept an eye on the Noble Research Center while I’ve been out of town. Today, Corey found a HY Mourning Dove.
